Apple has sent out invites to the media for a September 10 event with the tagline: ‘By Innovation Only’. The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park, Cupertino. The event was already rumored to be happening on this date, thanks to reports by Bloomberg. It is expected that Apple will announce iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XR successor, 16-inch MacBook Pro, iPad updates and Apple Watch Series 5 during this event.
The event invitation has an Apple logo divided into 5 colors. Long time Apple fans would instantly recognize that these are the same colors that the first translucent iMac shipped in. However, as per Mark Gurman, the top green and bottom lavender colors are the new colors for iPhone XR’s successor.

Now that we are done with analyzing the invite, time to take a quick look at what we should expect from the event.
iPhone 11 Pro
Apple will be launching brand new iPhone 11 Pro models with triple lens camera system, new AMX co-processor, faster A13 chips, stronger glass and better water resistance but same design as iPhone X. The new cameras will allow for re-framing photos and videos after capture, enable better AR and improved photography in low light situations. The third lens will be wide-angle which should allow for more creative freedom. Video capture will also be improved, enabling iPhone Pro to provide almost professional level output.
Apple is also expected to include two-way wireless charging which should allow users to charge their wireless AirPods using their iPhone. The display will still be the same but will not have 3D touch.
iPhone 11 XR
iPhone XR’s successor will ship with A13 processor, a few new colors and a dual-camera setup. Whether Apple will stick with iPhone 11 XR or something else for the name is still unknown.
iPad Pro updates
iPad Pro will also get improved cameras and faster internals. The beautiful 2018 design is expected to stay the same. To be honest there is nothing to change in it yet since it still looks really sleek and modern.
The entry level $329 iPad will be enlarged to a 10.2-inch display. Let’s hope that Apple uses an iPad Pro like thin bezel design but that might be hoping too much. Expect Apple to slightly improve the cameras and put a faster processor in the new iPad, while keep the cost low.
Apple Watch Series 5
No major updates here except for new materials like ceramic and titanium. Maybe better battery life and faster processor but leaked reports have not said for certain.
16-inch MacBook Pro
A 16-inch MacBook Pro with a brand new design will be announced. This should pave the way for the next few years of Apple’s portable Mac aimed at professionals. The MacBook Pro is expected to have thin bezels which will enable it to ship with a 16-inch display, in the footprint of a 15-inch MacBook Pro. The keyboard will also switch to scissor mechanism since butterfly mechanism didn’t do so well. Other details are still unclear but lets hope Apple also fixes the thermal issues and other complains that users have had with the current MacBook Pro models.
