Apple rolls out tvOS 12.1.2 and watchOS 5.1.3 with bug fixes

Apple has released tvOS 12.1.2 and watchOS 5.1.3 updates with minor bug fixes and performance improvements. The updates are now available over-the-air for Apple TV and Apple Watch users.

watchOS 5.1.3 update

Apple had previously released watchOS 5.1.2 with the much awaited ECG (electrocardiogram) app (for Apple Watch Series 4) and Irregular Rhythm Notification (for Apple Watch Series 1 and above). These health focused features have been received very well by the community and have even saved lives.

There’s no new notable feature in watchOS 5.1.3, however it’s good to always be on the latest version  so you have the newest bug fixes, stability improvements and security patches for your device.

Users with Apple Watch Series 1 and above can download the update by going to General > Software Update in the Watch app on their iPhone. Make sure that you place your Watch has at least 50% battery, is placed on the charger and that you have enough battery charge in your iPhone too.

tvOS 12.1.2 update

Apple previously released tvOS 12.1.1 and hadn’t mentioned anything in the changelog. Now that it’s been over 4 months since tvOS 12 was released, the company is regularly releasing updates with bug fixes, without going into much details. tvOS 12 itself was a big release for Apple TV 4 and 4K models, as it shipped with new features like zero sign-on, interactive aerial screensavers, Dolby Atmos, iCloud keychain password support, and more.

To update to tvOS 12.1.2, go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software on your Apple TV. If you have automatic updates enabled, you should have already received the update.

Apple also released iOS 12.1.3 and macOS Mojave 10.14.3 with minor bug fixes.
