Apple releases watchOS 5.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.1 and tvOS 12.1

Apple has released watchOS 5.1, macOS Mojave 10.14.1 and tvOS 12.1 updates to users. The updates are now available as over-the-air updates for all compatible Apple Watch, Mac and Apple TV models, respectively. Here is everything new in these updates and how you can get them on your devices.

watchOS 5.1

watchOS 5.1 contains 70 new Emoji and new color watch faces. The update also allows users to participate in Group FaceTime audio calls. The update is available for all Watch models except Series 0.

To download watchOS 5.1, place your Apple Watch on the charger and open the Watch app on your iPhone. Go to My Watch > General > Software Update and tap Download & Install when the update shows up.

Update: Apple has pulled the update after some users reported that it bricked their Apple Watch. watchOS 5.1.1 has been release with a fix.

macOS Mojave 10.14.1

With macOS Mojave 10.14.1, Apple has released Group FaceTime video and voice call support. Users can have group calls with up to 32 friends, on macOS or iOS devices. The calls are end-to-end encrypted for complete security and privacy.

To download the new update, go to System Preferences > Software Update and click on Update Now.

tvOS 12.1

There are not any new noticeable updates in this release. tvOS 12 got some major updates which includes aerial screensavers with interactivity, zero sign-on, Dolby Atmos and much more.

To download the new update, go to System > Software Update on Apple TV 4/Apple TV 4K.

Apple also released iOS 12.1 today with Group FaceTime, new Emoji, Dual SIM support and much more.
