macOS Mojave Developer beta 2

There are no release notes accompanied with the first developer beta, however it likely to include Group FaceTime, which was delayed during developer beta testing from both macOS Mojave and iOS 12. This developer beta comes just over a week after the release of macOS Mojave 10.14, which has been getting raving reviews. It has new features like dark mode, new screenshot tool, new apps, Finder and Quicklook updates, dynamic wallpapers, desktop stacks, and more. While macOS still does not have the latest and greatest features of its iOS 12 sibling, like Siri Shortcuts and the likes, it is possible that this might change in the future. Apple has given us a glimpse of how iOS apps modified to run on macOS would look like, in the form of Stocks, Home, Apple News and Voice Memos apps. To be honest, the results are not too encouraging at the moment, but this is a discussion for a separate article.

If you haven’t tested developer betas before, make sure that you know what you are doing. Always back up your data if you are testing on your primary Mac, which is the case with most users. A developer beta might have stability issues and could result in the loss of data so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
