Apple has released macOS Mojave beta 7 for developers. The new build number is 18A365a and the update is around 3.53 GB in size. It is rolling out now as an over-the-air update as well as on the Apple Developer Center.
macOS Mojave is the newest version of Apple’s desktop operating system. It will ship with new feature which include a new Dark Mode, updates to Finder and Preview app, new apps including Home, Stocks and News, a new screenshot tool, Group FaceTime, redesigned App Store and much more
If you already have macOS Mojave developer beta on your Mac, go to System Preferences > Software Update to download the new beta. If you don’t have a dev beta on your Mac yet, follow our guide to download it.
Disclaimer: make sure that you backup your Mac to avoid any data loss. I recommend using Time Machine and an external hard drive to back up.
Download macOS Mojave Developer Beta 7
- Login to your Apple Developer account. If you do not have one, you can download the beta access utility from here and jump to step 2.
Once logged in, go to Downloads and scroll down to find macOS Mojave 10.14 beta. Click on the blue download button to get the beta access utility for your Mac.
- Double click the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility DMG file and run the pkg file. Follow the installation instructions to enroll your Mac in the Apple Developer Seed Program.
- Once the utility is installed, Mac App Store will open with the download page for macOS Mojave. Click Download and wait for it to complete.
- Once downloaded, the installer for macOS 10.14 Beta will launch. Follow the instructions to begin installation. Your Mac might restart a few times during installation. If you have a portable Mac, make sure that it is plugged into a charger.
Once installation is complete, your Mac will greet you with a setup screen. You can switch to the new dark theme here.
